  • Journal of Cognitive Mathematics and Science Learning

Journal of Cognitive Mathematics and Science Learning (COGMAS) is a high-quality, international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to publishing pioneering research at the intersection of cognitive science, mathematics learning, and science learning. The journal provides a global platform for researchers, cognitive psychologists, neuroscientists, and educators to share empirical insights into how human cognition functions during the process of acquiring mathematical and scientific knowledge.

COGMAS focuses deeply on the internal mental processes, structures, and mechanisms that students or individuals experience when learning STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) disciplines. Rather than merely evaluating general teaching methods, the journal prioritizes studies that investigate the "why" and "how" of learning from a cognitive perspective—bridging the gap between laboratory-based cognitive psychology and real-world learning environments.

The journal welcomes original empirical research articles, systematic literature reviews, and meta-analyses. Key areas of interest include cognitive load theory, mental representations, metacognition, conceptual change, and the cognitive impacts of emerging learning technologies (such as AI-driven adaptive learning and immersive virtual simulations). To maintain the highest standards of academic excellence, all submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process by competent international experts.
